Hi! :) I'm Johanna
I'm a designer, photographer and visual artist based in Lisbon, working across visual identity, communications, and artistic practice.
My background is in digital design and brand, which is my bread and butter, built over years working alongside tech startups and agencies. I now focus my work on creative businesses, galleries and cultural institutions, helping them grow visually as a brand and build a strong digital presence.
Alongside client work lies an ongoing art practice with the ocean as my subject, spanning photography, abstract painting, and writing. My project Seventy Percent Water grew out of my obsession with the ocean and acts as the starting point for all my artistic projects. It has been exhibited in Lisbon and shown at the Portuguese Surf Film Festival, and continues to grow into a book, an evolving body of paintings, and ongoing research and documentation.
I'm an active part of the Lisbon art scene, and I work with organisations both locally and internationally. I'm currently undertaking an MA in Art Markets at ISCTE, formalising my interest in the cultural sector and how visual communication works within it.
